Frequently asked questions
We will launch the new Service plans on 3 December, 2024.
As the market trends and customer behaviour evolves constantly, we decided to update our previous Service plans. The new Service plans include additional services and provide more value for our customers. These are just a couple of new benefits:
- Instant Trauma insurance
- Mastercard Premium credit card included in several Service plans
The pricing of our services continues to be structured in such a way that, as before, it is more useful and convenient for customers to use daily banking services by choosing one of the Service plans. Subscribing to a Service plan is cheaper than using individual banking services and paying a separate commission fee for each of them.
The new Service plans provide a more cost-effective way to manage your daily banking needs, offering tailored solutions with clear and transparent fees. The new private service plans include a wider range of modern services, such as the insurance cover in the event of trauma and a credit card that comes with purchase and travel insurance for Progressive and Exclusive service plan users.
The cheapest new service plan for private customers is the Daily plan, which costs 3 euros a month. It’s followed by the Progressive plan at 5 euros a month. While the Exclusive plan is priced at 10 euros a month.
The new Service plans will be available from 3 December, 2024. The previous Service plans will remain available to our customers until 30 June, 2025.
We will provide a recommendation of the most suitable plan for each customer, basing our suggestion on the services most frequently used by the specific customer. However, if the customer doesn’t agree to our suggestion, they can freely choose a different Service plan which better suits their needs. If necessary, the Service plan agreement can also be terminated by the customer.
From 30 June, 2025, the previous Service plans will no longer be valid.
For children and youngsters we have prepared a separate offering for daily banking management – the Youth offer. We’ll apply the Youth offer automatically to all customers from the age of 7 until the customer turns 26 years old. The Youth offer is equivalent to the Daily service plan and requires no agreement.
Please note that Instant Trauma Insurance is not included in the Youth offer. Once the customer turns 18, they can apply for the Daily service plan to gain access to the Instant Trauma Insurance.
The Daily service plan remains free of charge until the customer turns 26. From the age of 18, customers can also opt for other service plans or services, paying according to the applicable price list.
We’ve created a Service plan calculator, which allows you to quickly check which Service plan best fits your needs.
Detailed information about the features and terms and conditions of all Service plans is available on our website and internet bank, as well as at the in-person customer service points.
As we’re launching the new Service plans, previous plans will be gradually discontinued from 6 May until 30 June, 2025. You’ll be able to apply for the new Service plans in the internet bank starting from 3 December, 2024.
At the beginning of next year, we will approach you with information about the benefits of the new Service plans to make the decision process of choosing the new Service plan more convenient for you.
We will provide a recommendation of the most suitable plan for each customer, basing our suggestion on the services most frequently used by the specific customer. However, if the customer doesn’t agree to our suggestion, they can freely choose a different Service plan which better suits their needs.
In case the customer doesn’t want to pick any of the new Service plans, it’s possible for the customer to terminate the previous Service plan agreement. It can be done until the end of May, 2025, by writing to us in the internet bank or visiting any of our in-person customer service points.
Customers without a Service plan agreement will be provided with the services included in the Entry offer starting from 6 May, 2025. The Entry offer is the basis for using SEB services. At a 2.5 euro monthly fee the Entry offer includes 5 free transfers, servicing fee of 1 current account and usage fee of 1 debit card.
For customers with a valid previous Service plan agreement who haven't selected one of the new Service plans, we will automatically assign the plan that best matches their prior usage of SEB's daily banking services.
By selecting a new Service plan, the current Family plan agreement ends and the status of the members in the plan is terminated. Therefore, members of the Family plan are not automatically transferred to your new Service plan.
If you wish to continue using similar benefits of previous Family plan, we suggest exploring the offering of new Progressive plan and Exclusive plan. These plans include the possibility to invite 2 additional members, who can use the plan’s benefits at a 50% discount. The invited members receive an invitation to join in their internet bank and must accept it if they want to become a member of your new Service plan.
Up to two additional members can be invited to join the Progressive and Exclusive plans. Members can use all the same benefits of Service plan. The invited members can use the same plan with a 50% discount, which is paid by the Service plan main owner.
The invitees must be adult private customers of SEB, such as family members or friends. The recipient of the invitation must approve the invite to become a member of the Service plan.
The Service plan holder can invite or remove members in their internet bank or at any of the in-person customer service points by concluding a new agreement or amending an existing one.
If a customer who has added members to their plan wants to switch to another plan, then the existing members status will end, and they will not be transferred to the customer’s new plan. In the case of subscribing to a new Service plan, the members must be added again. The members invited will become members of the new Service plan when they have accepted the invitation.
The monthly fee of the Service plan is deducted from the bank account indicated in the agreement within the first ten days of the month, generally on the fourth day.
The monthly plan fee is paid even if the customer does not use all the services included in the plan (for example, does not make transfers, does not use a bank card, does not withdraw cash from an ATM). Unused services are not carried over to the following month.
Depending on the Service plan, the customer can withdraw a set amount of cash free of charge from the SEB ATMs across the Baltics and Swedbank ATMs in Latvia. If the limit for withdrawing cash specified in the plan is exceeded, the fee specified in the general price list will be applied to the amount by which the limit has been exceeded.
The customer does not need to hold a credit card to rely on Instant Trauma insurance. Similarly, they do not need to conclude a separate insurance agreement – a valid plan agreement is sufficient.
Insurance cover in the event of trauma covers health damage caused by an accident, that require a visit to an emergency medical unit and is proven by the medical record, and it also applies to private customers abroad.
The amount of insurance cover offered by the Daily Plan is 50 euros, for the Progressive Plan, it is 100 euros, and for the Exclusive Plan, it is 200 euros, whereas the indemnity will be paid within two working days after submitting the required medical documents. The insurance indemnity will be paid for one accident per year, per one Service plan agreement.
The terms and conditions of Instant Trauma insurance are available on the website of SEB. Please read the Instant Trauma insurance information document, which provides an overview of the insurance service, as well as Instant Trauma insurance terms and conditions. These documents provide a complete overview of the terms and conditions of the insurance agreement, the sums insured, the benefits and the restrictions and exclusions applicable to the insurance agreement.
In case of an insured event:
- turn to the nearest emergency room at the first opportunity,
- provide us the medical report,
- submit your claim via the internet bank: Service plan page – Submit Claim
The insurance indemnity is paid to the SEB account of the insured person specified in the Service plan agreement within two working days after submitting the required medical documents.
