SEB has launched a new website across all the Baltic countries. It introduces various changes and improvements – from more user-friendly navigation across our services and products, to modern and visually appealing design.
"With the new website, our main task was to prioritize the content in line with the needs of our customers and create a digital environment that was suitable for our customers,” says Liudas Rimkus, Head of Baltic Marketing and Communication at SEB.
To fulfil this task SEB worked closely together with the digital agency CUBE – evaluating the content of the old website using strong research methods and deciding on what content needs to be kept or left out. To gain a more thorough and unbiased opinion, more than 100 customers were interviewed, providing us with valuable insights on aspects that needed to be improved in the new website to create a user–centric focus.
L. Rimkus reveals that the result of these efforts is a website with user–friendly design, a cleaner interface, richer visual content and a new navigation system that allows anyone to find what they are looking for in seconds.
From a business card to self–service store
“Times are changing and so is the demand for how different companies represent themselves in the digital environment,” indicates Iļja Nogičevs, Chief Product Owner of Customer Overview & Digital Enablers tribe.
He explains that the role of a company’s website is changing together with the habits of customers: “If previously we said that there is no company without a home page, and the home page was more like a business card, now it’s purpose have changed. Life has become way faster, and customers do not have time to search for the information they need or go somewhere physically to arrange the service they need. The homepage became a place where the customers can find relevant information quickly and conveniently and arrange the needed services by themselves.”
“The homepage is transforming from being a business card to a self-service store – I think this is the trend today,” emphasises I. Nogičevs.
In cooperation with the IT solution developers from ADM Interactive the security, reliability and speed of the new website was also improved.
Implementing such a major website update might cause some temporary bugs or issues. Therefore, we invite you to be understanding, as we are monitoring the situation and resolve any issues as soon as possible.
