SEB Latvia joins Employers' Confederation of Latvia
On January 17, the Council of Employers' Confederation of Latvia has approved SEB bank's application to become a member of the organization, recognizing bank's long-term achievements in applying best practice and corporate social responsibility policies.
On January 17, the Council of Employers' Confederation of Latvia (LDDK) has approved SEB bank's application to become a member of the organization, recognizing bank's long-term achievements in applying best practice and corporate social responsibility policies.
Ieva Tetere, CEO of SEB Latvia: "Our business is focussed on people who live in Latvia and companies who operate in Latvia. Therefore, for us it is important to have a transparent and lawful business environment, which strives for responsibility and sustainability. Association of Latvian Commercial banks as well as several other financial institutions are a part of LDDK.
LDDK is the largest organization in Latvia for employers. LDDK was founded in 1993 and currently its members employ 43% of Latvia's workforce. LDDK is the partner of Cabinet of Ministers of Latvia and Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia in the social-economic dialogue. LDDK unites and represents 110 industry leaders - companies with more than 50 employees, as well as 66 industry and regional business associations and federations.
