Changes to Fund Regulations for SEB Asienfond ex Japan Funds
Several changes will be made to the fund regulations for multiple funds, as detailed below. These changes are approved by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) and will take effect on March 14, 2025. You do not need to take any action, and the changes will not affect the value of your holdings. However, it is important to be aware of these changes.
Key Changes:
- Fund Manager’s Name Change: The fund manager’s name will change from SEB Investment Management AB to SEB Funds AB.
- Fund Objectives: The descriptions of the funds’ goals will be updated to better reflect their objectives.
- Sustainability Criteria: The description of how the funds follow specific sustainability criteria in their investments will be clarified. More details will be available in SEB's policies on environmental and social considerations, exclusion criteria, countries not invested in, and ownership engagement.
- Swing Pricing (Adjusted NAV and Fund Share Value): A new mechanism will be introduced to adjust the fund's net asset value (NAV) and share value in response to large net inflows or outflows. This adjustment ensures that transaction costs arising from these flows are fairly allocated to the investors responsible for the transactions, protecting existing investors from bearing the costs of other investors' buying or selling of shares.
- Custodian’s Liability Limitations: The regulations regarding the custodian's liability for financial instruments stored in a depositary will be updated to ensure alignment with the Swedish laws on securities funds and alternative investment funds.
- Other Clarifications: There will be clarifications, language adjustments, and in some cases, updated legal references in the fund documentation.
Important Dates:
The changes will enter into force automatically and unitholders do not need to do anything on their part. Unitholders who do not wish to continue investing in the fund(s) may redeem their units free of charge and cancel fund standing orders (if applicable).
- March 11, 2025: Last day to redeem your holdings before the changes take effect.
- March 11, 2025: Final opportunity to sell the funds before the changes are implemented.
- March 14, 2025: The changes will be implemented.
