Changes to Fund Regulations for SEB Emerging Markets Exposure Fund
There are changes in SEB Emerging Markets Exposure Fund D: SE0021147394. These changes are approved by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) and will come into effect on March 14, 2025. No action is required from customers, and the value of their investments will not be affected. However, it is important to be aware of the changes.
Key Changes:
- Fund Manager's Name Change: The fund manager will change from SEB Investment Management AB to SEB Funds AB.
- Custodian’s Responsibilities: The description of the custodian's duties in the fund regulations is being updated to ensure that it aligns with Chapter 3, Section 4 of the Act (2004:46) on Securities Funds (*"LVF") and Chapter 9, Section 12 of the Act (2013:561) on Alternative Investment Funds.
- Fund Objectives: The descriptions of the funds' goals will be updated to better reflect their objectives.
- Sustainability Criteria: To clarify the funds’ sustainability efforts, a description will be added regarding how the funds follow specific sustainability criteria in their investments.
- Swing Pricing (Adjusted NAV and Fund Share Value): A new mechanism will be introduced to adjust the fund's net asset value (NAV) and share value in response to large net inflows or outflows. This adjustment ensures that transaction costs arising from these flows are fairly allocated to the investors responsible for the transactions, protecting existing investors from bearing the costs of other investors' buying or selling of shares.
- Custodian's Liability Limitations: The regulations about the custodian’s liability in case of loss of financial instruments will be updated.
Important Dates:
The changes will enter into force automatically and unitholders do not need to do anything on their part. Unitholders who do not wish to continue investing in the fund(s) may redeem their units free of charge and cancel fund standing orders (if applicable).
- March 11, 2025: Last day to redeem your investment in these funds before the changes take effect.
- March 11, 2025: Final opportunity to sell the funds before the changes are implemented.
- March 14, 2025: The changes will be implemented.
