On 14 August Latvenergo rang the trading session opening bell at Nasdaq exchange in New York
On August 14 Āris Žīgurs, CEO of Latvenergo participated in the ceremony of Trading Session Opening Bell at Nasdaq exchange in Time sqare, New York. SEB's representative was also present.
Latvenergo AS is the first company in the Baltics, which has received Nasdaq Baltics exchange award for the Best Investor Relations among Bond Issuers. Along with the award early this year Latvenergo Group representatives were invited to ring the trading session opening bell at Nasdaq MarketSite studio in New York’s Times Square on 14 August. Such opportunity is proposed to the companies, whose operational achievements have particularly stood out.
In the Opening Bell Ceremony at Nasdaq MarketSite studio in New York’s Times Square Latvenergo Group was represented by Āris Žīgurs, Chief Executive Officer, and Guntars Baļčūns, Chief Financial Officer of Latvenergo AS. The event was attended also by Ints Krasts, board member of SEB Latvia. Also representatives of EBRD, Permanent mission of the Republic of Latvia to the United Nations, Latvian Investment and Development agency’s representative office in USA, Nasdaq Riga and other representatives were invited to honour the event with their presence.
Simultaneously for the first time and for a whole hour in the heart of New York, Times Square, a video representing Latvia and Latvenergo was demonstrated on the screen of Nasdaq building. This is a particularly special event, when a story about Latvia was demonstrated at one of the most popular places in the world. Therefore, Latvenergo has chosen to seize this opportunity to speak not only about values of the Group, but particularly highlight our country and the common value of our country and Latvenergo – responsibility towards environment.
Latvenergo AS received the Nasdaq Baltics exchange award for the Best Investor Relations among Bond Issuers within the framework of the annual Baltic Market Awards ceremony, where issuers of bonds were honoured and awarded for the first time.
