Information about financial services in Russian and Belarusian rubles
As of May 3, 2022, SEB will terminate payment services in Russian rubles (RUB), including incoming and outgoing payments, as well as currency exchange.
Until May 3, 2022, customers can exchange RUB to the currency of their own choice or transfer the funds from RUB account at SEB to a financial institution that provides services in Russian rubles.
Starting on May 3, 2022, SEB will convert the funds in Russian rubles remaining in the accounts into the currency of the main account, i. e. euros (EUR) or US dollars (USD) under the market conditions on that day.
60 days after publishing this notice, SEB will eliminate possibility to manage accounts in Russian rubles and subaccounts in RUB will be closed.
Please note that in light of the sanctions against Russia and unstable situation in financial markets, SEB might have difficulties, or not be able to execute transactions in RUB or convert them also before May 3, 2022.
Also reminding that since March 9, 2022, SEB is not providing payment services in Belarusian rubles (BYN), including incoming and outgoing payments, as well as currency exchange.
60 days after publishing this notice, SEB will eliminate possibility to manage accounts in Belarusian rubles and subaccounts in BYN will be closed.
SEB will convert the funds in BYN remaining in the accounts after May 3 to euros (EUR).
This notice applies to existing and new customers who use banking services after the publication of this notice.
