SEB: limitations in availability of bank's services are expected between Feb 10-12
Over the weekend, from 10 to 12 February SEB will switch over to its new IT and customer service system.
Over the forthcoming weekend, from 10 to 12 February SEB will switch over to its new IT and customer service system.
- During the transitional period there will be some limitations in availability of banking services:
- From 4 p.m. of 10 February until 6 a.m. of 13 February the internet bank and other electronic services will not be available. I.e., during the specified period you will not be able to make payments via internet banking or authenticate through the internet bank in online shops or service sites.
- On Sunday, February 12, the ATMs of SEB will not be available from 10 p.m. until 11 p.m. During this period you will not be able to make payments with SEB payment cards either.
- You will be able to get the latest updates about the system changeover process at SEB branches and via the infoline +371-26668777, however, the availability of services that are related to the system replacement will be limited.
Ieva Tetere, CEO of SEB : “Two weeks before the switchover to the new system we would like to ask our customers and counterparties to expect limited availability of several of our services between February 10-12 to ensure that starting from 13 February we are able to launch our new internet bank, as well as start using the new IT and customer service system. On a monthly basis, there are more than 2.4 million user logons to the SEB internet bank. More than 300,000 customers connect to our internet bank at least once a month; we therefore encourage our customers to make the necessary payments in due time.”
As a reminder, SEB internet bank is used not only as a site for making payments but also as an authorization means in websites such as www.latvija.lv to use various public e-services. The internet bank is also used as an authorization and payment means in many online shops – we therefore encourage our customers to plan their payments or purchases via internet bank in a timely manner.
The most noticeable benefit for our customers after the changeover to the new system will be the new internet bank, which will have a new design and offer wider opportunities. The system replacement is carried out with a view to strengthening the development of SEB IT and digital solutions as well as ensuring a uniform IT system for the banks of SEB Group across the Baltic region.
