SEB banka is contemplating moving to a new office building in five years
In 2023, after the term of the existing lease of SEB Financial Centre expires, SEB is contemplating moving to new headquarters. The shareholders of the SEB Financial Centre building at Valdlauči are going to sell it or lease it out to another tenant after 2023.
Ieva Tetere, CEO of SEB banka:
“Since 2004, when we moved to the Financial Centre, there have been significant developments. In cooperation with professionals in the field of real estate development, we are therefore considering looking for a new office offering a modern, comfortable and cozy solution. For us it is important to have a sufficiently large space, advanced technical equipment, as well as a good infrastructure; it should also be easily available to the bank's counterparties and customers.
Given the concern SEB feels for the working environment, our goal is to provide the best possible conditions for our employees, enabling them to develop professionally and work productively in a creative environment. In the bank’s administrative building, we have already started implementing the Activity based office principles that have attracted global popularity, enabling our employees to choose the environment that best suits the carrying out of their tasks for a particular day, i.e., somebody needs a dynamic area for a creative discussions, whereas someone else needs a quiet place to focus on their individual work. We aim for such an environment, which promotes cooperation between business units within the organization, as well as between the bank and its customers.”
Shortly, the owner of the Financial Centre Gene Investments is about to make a public statement on its intent to sell the building.
