Important changes for import of payments in ISO 20022 XML format
Please be acquainted with mandatory changes to payment files import in ISO 20022 XML format, coming into effect as of 19 November 2017.
As of 19 November 2017, mandatory changes to payment files import in ISO 20022 XML format will come into effect.
Will the changes affect your company?
Yes, if in their everyday work employees of your company prepare and send (import) payments to SEB internet bank, Telebanka, Gateway by using files in ISO 20022 XML format.
Changes do not apply to files in other formats.
What should be done?
Please contact developer of your accounting software in order to include the fields indicated below with the correct value in your files prepared in ISO format which will be imported to SEB internet bank, Telebanka, Gateway, no later than by November 19.
What will change?
Changes provide that:

Total number of payments in the file (NumberOfTransactions
) becomes a mandatory field at the level of PaymentInformation: - Document/CstmrCdtTrfInitn/PmtInf/NbOfTxs (see element 2.4. in specification).

Total amount of payments (ControlSum
) becomes a mandatory field at the level of GroupHeader and PaymentInformation: - Document/CstmrCdtTrfInitn/GrpHdr/CtrlSum (see element 1.7. in specification),
- Document/CstmrCdtTrfInitn/PmtInf/CtrlSum (see element 2.5. in specification).

Why should changes be made?
Mentioned changes will become effective in accordance with regulations of the European Payment Union and will be imposed on all member states of SEPA Payments Area.
After implementation of changes import of payment file in ISO format will not be possible, if the above-mentioned files with correct values will not be indicated in a file; therefore, it is important to make sure that this information is included in files prepared by your accounting software in a timely manner (no later than by November 19).
If you do not import and do not plan to import payment files in ISO 20022 XML format, please disregard this information.
