Global Finance names SEB bank the best bank in Latvia in 2019
For the fifth time already, SEB bank has been named the best bank in Latvia by the international financial magazine Global Finance. SEB bank in Lithuania and Estonia have also made it to the list of the best financial institutions in Central and Eastern Europe.
Ieva Tetere, CEO of SEB bank in Latvia:
“I am really pleased that for the fifth time already, SEB bank in Latvia has received this high acknowledgment from Global Finance experts. This means that we are on the right track in terms of providing professional and top-quality world-class service to our customers and counterparties. According to our recent observations, our customers visit the bank’s branches for consultations, to embark on significant changes, whereas they carry out all other activities in a convenient place and time remotely. This is exactly why our role as a bank is to take care of those who need financial consultations and advice that is easier to do in a face-to-face meeting, as well as of those who expect unparalelled remote solutions from us. In 2018, we made positive changes in the bank’s internet bank and mobile application for individuals and businesses. We have started video meetings; our mobile branch has become operational – it can provide the benefits provided by a branch anywhere. In a similar vein, our customers have been actively using electronic services. Smart-ID is gaining more and more acceptance among our customers day by day, more and more customers appreciate the benefits of e-invoicing, digital coin jar, etc. We are also pleased with the performance and projects in providing services to large companies. ”
The publisher and editorial director of Global Finance Joseph D. Giarraputo says ”The key criteria for the assessment are asset development, profit indicators, strategic development, new business solutions, and product innovations. This is the 26th year since Global Finance has been compiling the list of the world’s best banks, and our observations suggest that it is becoming increasingly difficult for banks to making it into the list. In our opinion, the key factor for banks is to be able to change and adapt to external circumstances, as well as be creative in an innovative way and experiment.”
