SEB recognised as the best digital bank in Latvia by Global Finance
International business and finance magazine Global Finance has published the best digital banks in the Central and Eastern Europe in 2019. SEB has ranked first in all three Baltic States.
Ieva Tetere, head of SEB Latvia:
“As we witness the triumph of digital developments, SEB as a financial institution goes hand in hand with this revolution to ensure its clients and partners professional and quality top-level service. Over the last few years, we have done active work to develop new services and solutions to allow our clients to meet the bank in the most convenient conditions and to receive banking services and consultations in simple and secure manner.
Since a great deal of bank’s services can be received remotely already now, we see a significant increase in the number of Smart ID users: in late June the number of users in the Baltic States reached 641,000, which is almost 200,000 more than in December last year.
We are also glad about the growing wish to use video calls for consultations in life insurance and savings issues, in case of purchasing new home, or discussing the necessary changes in current agreements. Speaking about our activity in the Baltic States in general, SEB has met its clients in almost 11,000 video calls by the end of June.
But thanks to constant study of clients’ needs and the resulting regular development of SEB mobile app, it had 536,000 users in the Baltic States in late June, which is 120,000 more than at the end of last year.
Global Finance expert recognition and the growing number of clients who use SEB digital services prove that our effort is appreciated and successful. I would also like to thank our clients for their trust in SEB and their demands that do not allow us to rest on our laurels but make us look for new ways of improving our operation, service and offer.”
