About changes to SEB Europe Index Fund and SEB US Index Fund
On 21 August 2020 changes to sub-funds SEB Europe Index Fund and SEB US Index Fund will take effect – the investment objective and policy, benchmark references and name will be changed.
Both sub-funds will remain passively managed, however changes to benchmark references and return model will occur. Investment objective and policy will move from “index-replicating” to “benchmark-referencing”, meaning that the sub-funds aim will be to create a return that does not replicate but is as close as possible to its benchmark. The return will deviate from the benchmark because funds will exclude from their investments fossil fuel companies.
SEB Europe Index Fund will change name to SEB Sustainable Europe Exposure Fund and SEB SEB US Index Fund will change name to SEB Sustainable US Exposure Fund. The benchmarks of the funds will change to MSCI Europe Index and MSCI US Index respectively.
Fund customers do not need to take any action because of these changes. However, if you do not wish to remain invested in the sub-fund, you may redeem fund units by 19 August 2020.
